How this site
is meant to work

Seven pages, four things to sell, and a search landscape in N16 worth about twenty-two thousand queries a month. This page shows the whole shape of it: what links to what, which search each page is built to win, and what that turns into at the till.

Read this the right way. Every number on this page is a model, not a measurement. Volumes are planning estimates for the London and N16 market; click-through and conversion rates are industry benchmarks for local hospitality and fitness bookings. Nothing here has been measured on this domain yet, because the site has only just gone live. Treat it as the target to check the analytics against in ninety days.

Architecture

The map

One hub, five commercial pages, and four places where money actually changes hands. Solid lines are navigation; dashed lines are the cross-links inside the body copy that pass authority sideways between siblings.

Marmalade Club site map The home page links to five pages: classes, membership, what's on, venue hire and bar. Those pages lead to four conversion points, ticket checkout, membership signup, table reservation and hire enquiry, plus a wifi capture on the home page. What people
round here actually type

Thirty-eight terms worth chasing, grouped into four clusters, each pointing at exactly one page. Volumes are modelled monthly UK searches with London or N16 intent; the bar is relative within the whole set.

Where the money
comes out

The same funnel run three times, once per revenue stream, at the steady state we would expect around month nine. Each step shows the rate applied to get to it, so any assumption you disagree with can be swapped out and the rest recalculated.

Why classes look small

  • check_circleA class ticket is £12 or £14, so 62 bookings a month is only £1,042.
  • check_circleThe value is what happens next: 12% of first-timers become members within eight weeks.
  • check_circleSeven new members a month at £28 average compounds into about £990 of steady MRR by month twelve.
Biggest lever

Why hire dominates

  • check_circleOne booking averages £780 against a £16.80 class ticket.
  • check_circleEight bookings a month out-earns everything else on the site combined.
  • check_circleDecember alone is worth roughly three normal months, the work-party cluster spikes hard from mid-October.

What the model ignores

  • check_circleBar spend behind a ticket, roughly £18 a head, not counted as web revenue.
  • check_circleWalk-ins and door sales, which the site influences but cannot claim.
  • check_circleInstagram, the wifi list and word of mouth, all of which land on the same pages.

Every assumption,
written down

If a number here is wrong, the whole model moves, which is the point of listing them rather than burying them. Check each one against real analytics at ninety days and adjust.

Search volumes add

Planning estimates for UK monthly volume with London or N16 intent, built from keyword-tool ranges rather than measured impressions. Seasonal terms, Christmas party, New Year's Eve, are shown at their twelve-month average, so December looks far bigger than the table suggests and February far smaller.

Click-through rates add

Blended across the cluster at a target average position of four to six, which is a realistic first-year outcome for a new domain against established competition. 6.2% for classes, 6.8% for nights, 5.2% for hire, hire is lower because those results are dominated by aggregators and paid listings above the fold.

Conversion rates add

11.9% click-to-booking on classes and 11.0% on nights are the upper end of hospitality benchmarks, justified by the booking being three taps deep with no account creation. 8.0% click-to-enquiry on hire is a form submission, not a purchase, so it converts higher but is worth less per action, the 31% enquiry-to-booking rate is where the actual filtering happens.

Average values add

Class £16.80 blends the £12 and £14 singles with the £20 and £24 two-place passes. Night £22.40 assumes 2.3 tickets per order at a £9.70 blended price. Hire £780 is the room fee plus the bar behind it, weighted toward the mid packages because the £900 takeover is rarer than the £250 birthday.

Attribution add

Organic search only. Nothing here is credited to Instagram, the wifi list, returning direct traffic or the door, all of which are real and none of which this page is trying to claim.

Timeline add

Steady state is month nine, not month one. Expect roughly 15% of these numbers in month three, 55% by month six. A new domain does not rank for salsa classes london in a fortnight, and any plan that promises it is selling something.

That's the plan

Now go and dance
